PTA

We have a very supportive and active parent teacher association which raises funds for the school, and organises a range of social events for the school community. There are lots of ways to support the school through FOSSI, as well as regular meetings at which you can find out how to support this group.

We are proud of the community involvement in the life of our school.  Volunteers help with learning in class and help to develop the school environment.

There are various ways in which you can be involved in school life.  This could include helping to supervise on school trips, joining in with environment activities, making resources for use in class, or visiting your child’s class to tell the children about a special event or share an interest with them.  Some adults help in class by supporting reading and practical activities with small groups or individual children.  We welcome your support whether it is for an occasional activity or on a regular basis.  It is necessary to have a Criminal Records Bureau check for anyone who will be working on their own with children on a regular basis.

To find out more about helping with school activities please speak to your child’s Teacher or ask the office to pass your details to the Volunteers Coordinator.

Welcome to FOSSI.

Below are the minutes from the recent Friends of St Saviours Infants (FOSSI) AGM on 29.9.2016. This year FOSSI has a new committee; the core members include Emma Thomas (Co Chair) Becky Pearce (Co chair), Zoe Godolphin (Secretary), Kate Stratford (Treasurer) and Ellie Thomas (Communications Officer).  The committee’s aims are to provide events that are fun for families as well as raising money directly for the school and the enrichment of the children.

We are currently considering the best ways to communicate with you and more information will follow. Please look for the FOSSI section in the schools newsletter for information.

Immediate requests!!

  1. Would anyone with a local business like to sponsor or provide a FOSSI notice board at each entrance for the school? If you are able to help with this please contact Zoe on Zoe.Godolphin@bristol.ac.uk.

  2. All are welcome at our next meeting to discuss plans for the Christmas Fair. This is on Thursday 13th October 7.30pm at St Saviours School.

  3. Anyone who would like to be involved with the committee in any way please email Zoe at the address above. ( This can be as little or as much as you feel comfortable with)

We look forward to the year ahead and are open to any suggestions for fundraising events and hope that as many people as possible can get involved and enjoy it.
